Graduate The Diploma Policy at the Graduate School of FIT
Students who aspire to study in graduate school are required to be a researcher or development engineer who can contribute to society as a leader. For this purpose, along with learning by attending lectures or seminars of each major field of courses, students are required to conduct meaningful research that can contribute to society through advanced engineering and academic research, and announce their achievements by publishing their results in scientific journals, or presenting such in academic conferences. By completing these course requirements prescribed in each educational program of the Department of Engineering and Information Engineering, students will be conferred a master’s degree of engineering. To complete the courses, students need more than 36 units consisting of more than 24 units of course lectures and seminars, and more than 12 units of dissertation research. After completion of the master’s program, and an additional 18 units for the doctoral dissertation and more than 4 units of lectures and seminars, and by passing the appraisal of the doctoral dissertation, a doctorate degree of engineering will be conferred.
