Information and Systems Engineering Education/Curriculum Policy
There are three research fields in Information and Systems Engineering Master’s Program that are designed to develop a deep knowledge and technological skills in information technology, robotic control, and biological system. In this program, the advanced technologies that serve as the foundation of future information systems are taught in the field of “Applied Information Systems Engineering”. The instrument technologies that required for designing, developing, and controlling information systems are studied in the field of “Instrumentation and Control Systems Engineering”. The measurement sciences, regarding medical engineering and biological engineering, are taught in the field of "Biological Information Systems Engineering”.
The Information and Systems Engineering Master’s Program is designed to educate and train the skilled persons who will be able to drive international competition in these fields.
Guidelines for education and curriculum are developed as follows:
- With consideration for the continuity in undergraduate education, the department develops problem-finding and problem-solving skills based on highly specialized knowledge.
- To improve English reading ability of quick and correct understanding of early pioneering technology research papers and to improve writing ability for announcement of research results internationally.
- To educate in academic journal writing ability as the purpose of returning academic achievements to society with the aim of publishing in academic journals.
- To improve the communication ability necessary for collaborative group work, research, and mutual development.
